Starr Farm was purchased by Elwin Starr, a dairy farmer, in 1903. His son Hubert took the farm over and began raising chickens and selling eggs as well as vegetables. In the 1940's Hubert planted the first of the Christmas trees. The farm remained in the family with Hubert's son Donald taking over in the 1960's. Donald grew vegetables and Christmas trees; along with many acres of hay. With the addition of an apple orchard and greenhouses, the farm stays busy throughout the year. In recent years, Donald's family has joined in partnership on the farm. The 5th generation has already started helping out. We currently stay busy in our greenhouses, orchard and hay fields. We are a member of the Ohio Christmas Tree Association and offer several types of trees through the winter season.
